New Stand launched in New York in 2015 with a simple premise: update the traditional newsstand for how people actually move and live now. Historically, newsstands served as morning commerce hubs for urban commuters, a quick stop for print, coffee, and convenience. As those needs evolved, the format was redefined as a modular platform for retail, content, and community.

What began as a single subway kiosk in Union Square grew into a distributed network across street-level stores, ferry routes, and airports, with an added digital layer through the New Stand app. Ferries became a defining expression of the brand, embedding the experience directly into daily transit and turning movement into a moment of discovery.

Developed in close collaboration with the founders, the brand was built as a cohesive world across physical and digital. A system of spaces, objects, and programming designed to move fluidly across formats while maintaining a clear point of view. The platform blends design-forward retail, editorial content, and partnerships, from collaborations with brands like Havaianas to original formats such as the New Night concert series.
